巴西圣保罗双年展：探寻“生存不确定性”

　　第32届巴西圣保罗双年展将于2016年9月10日至12月11日在巴西奇奇洛马塔佐展馆（Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion）举办。本届展览有将近90位受邀艺术家及团体，其中54位艺术家已确认参展。

　　巴西圣保罗双年展(Sao Paulo Art Biennial)在1951年由意大利实业家马塔拉佐创立。并与威尼斯双年展、德国卡塞尔文献展并称为世界三大艺术展。“圣保罗双年展”承袭威尼斯双年展的组织模式，同样以“国家馆”、“国际展”和“巴西艺术”作为双年展架构的三大梁柱。圣保罗双年展自成立以来，一直是巴西最重要的艺术活动，被视为圣保罗艺术文化现代化与国际化的重要象征，是巴西极少数具有世界格局与国际声望的艺术展览。

　　第32届巴西圣保罗双年展将主题定为“生存不确定性”，聚焦于当下的人类生活现状，以及当代艺术提供给人们在不确定中生存的可能性。本届展览将追溯一种宇宙哲学论的思考，探讨集体智慧和系统性的自然生态学等议题。

　　“不确定”其实存在于很多既定的规则中，从数学到天文学，甚至包括语言学、生物学、社会学、人类学、历史和教育。但不同于其他学科的是，艺术中的不确定性指向的是一种“混乱”，重视的是蕴含于内的模糊和对立。它试图去计算不能计算的，测量那些无法测量的东西。艺术从不确定中，从机遇、即兴创作和思索中“取食”。同时也为错误和质疑留有空间，而不是一味地回避，这反而更能激发意义深远的探索，在不断的变化中谋求很多其他的行为手段去解决问题。

　　而本届展览的主题是由我们所处时代中遇到的那些“大问题”决定的。尽管“不确定”往往伴随着“危机”的出现，却不能将二者完全等同。为了客观应对诸如全球变暖，物种灭绝，文化多样性，全球移民大潮，经济和政治的不稳定，以及自然资源分配不公等问题，很有必要将这些蕴含其中的不确定性从恐惧中分离出来。最重要的是，不确定性作为一种心理状态，连接的是个人或集体的决策过程，呈现的是对具体问题的理解与否。

　　将“生存不确定性”主题放到日常生活中去理解，意味着一个事实：我们生活在一个由不确定所支配的环境中。讨论不确定性就需要我们对认识的多样性有所理解，因为讨论这种未知就是在暗指要去质问我们理所当然认为的“已知”。然而，这也意味着应该从补充性的角度去评价这种具有科学性和象征性的观点，而不能从排他性的角度一概而论。由此，艺术的不确定性本身就促成了人们彼此之间一种很积极主动的“交换”，使不确定性成为一种具有生产力和建设性的导向体系。

　　出生于德国布伦瑞克的Jochen Volz是第32届巴西圣保罗双年展的总策展人，对于Volz的任命似乎赋予了他大量参与圣保罗艺术界的充分理由。 他从2012年开始就担任伦敦蛇形画廊的项目总监，对于南美艺术世界有着足够的了解，之前还在巴西米纳斯吉拉斯的Instituto Inhotim出任艺术总监。Volz有着丰富的国际双年展策展经验，早在2009年，他就曾与总策展人Daniel Birnbaum联合策划了第53届威尼斯双年展。为了出色完成今年圣保罗双年展的策划，Jochen Volz组建了一支专业而多元化的超强策展团队，其他4位联合策展人分别为：来自南非里约热内卢的艺术家、独立策展人、教育家Gabi Ngcobo，巴西艺术策展人、研究员、艺评家Júlia Rebouças，活跃于哥本哈根的作家、策展人、艺术史学家Lars Bang Larsen，以及墨西哥艺术界重要的学术策展人Sofía Olascoaga。
